halloween fun!

For lunch we ate turkey provolone batwiches with troll fingers! mmmm Emery really liked this one and Isa ate her whole batwich! We used our cookie cutters and decorating goodies and prepped for dinner. (I think I honestly spent all day in the kitchen!) We had spider rolls, witches brew, mummy hotdogs and ghostly salad! We invited the cousins over to play and celebrate the evening with us as well! Meredith was my kitchen helper.

Liam's Indiana Jones costume rocked the house! He even took in a photo of Harrison Ford to the hairdresser to make sure he was authentic! Isa chose to be a fairy princess! Emery is a very cute little red riding hood. Especially when she wants her picture taken which unfortunately is not tonight. By the way, Liam lost his first tooth. He is so excited about it. We took these photos while the kids were jumping outside! I love the one with Isa in it. Baby Laila is here!!

For those of you who know my sister in law Sarah on the Hamilton side, her baby was born today! 6lbs, 10oz and 20 inches long. Just that like Christy, she came about 20 minutes after she got to the hospital. WOW!! These amazing women!! Congrats Price and Sarah! There's hope Kimberly!!

Watchamacallit!!!

I thought it'd be fun to do a post for Baby Williams. Kimberly and Jordon are going to have a boy and are looking at two names: Brant or Grant. So which do you like best?

Kimberly's Baby Shower

I had such a FUN time planning Kimberly's Baby Shower. I never thought I'd enjoying doing that sort of thing....A.) because I've never really been into the whole traditional baby showers and B.) because I wasn't sure if I'd even know how or what do to, but much to my delight I REALLY enjoyed it. Thank you Kimberly for allowing me the opportunity to do so. Joanna the punch was super delicious, Jessie your game totally rocked, and Christy your thank you jars were so cute. Thank you!!!

Kimberly looked SUPER gorgeous for her shower. To me she's always gorgeous but there's something extra special that comes out when she's pregnant. She has such a wonderful "momma glow", and such a beautiful pregnant shape. There is no doubt in my mind that she will connect well with the little guy once he gets here and I myself am anxious to get some precious snuggle time.

Happy Birthday Pops! I just wanted to tell you that I am so grateful for you and for all you are. Because you are such a great dad and example, I am blessed to be married to the best dad ever and a wonderful husband. Thank you for setting the bar high and for teaching your sons correct principles. By their fruits they shall be known and your fruits are fantastic. Thank you for teaching your son to believe in himself and to accomplish his dreams and goals without fear. Thank you for taking care of us and supporting all of us in our dreams and helping to make those dreams come true.
I love how you aren't afraid to get silly with the kids, or will read to them until you fall asleep. I love that you love them and play with them and take such great care of them.
You are an incredible man and I am grateful for you! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! love ya!

Dare to be beautiful

I wasn't able to listen to conference a few weeks ago but I've been seeing some amazing blog postings highlighting my girlfriends favorite parts of it. I wanted to pass this along to you girls from a friend of mine named Holly and dare each of us to let our natural beauty out.

The Lord wants us to be made over, but in His image, not in the image of the world- by receiving His image in our countanences. "

and I absolutely LOVE this story:
One day at school as I ate lunch and studied for my next class, I noticed a group sitting near me, talking and laughing. One young woman particularly caught my attention. She was tall, with beautiful black hair, dark skin, and high cheekbones. Her appearance was as unlike my pale, freckled face and red hair as anything I could imagine. She was one of the most beautiful people I had ever seen. After a few minutes, the group rose to leave. But the young woman I had been watching stopped. I was somewhat embarrassed; I thought she must have seen me staring at them. Then something extraordinary happened. “I’m sorry to disturb you.” She said,“ but I wanted to tell you how beautiful I think you are.” After a shocked pause, I started to laugh. “ I was thinking the same thing about you!” After she left, I continued to think about what had happened. We found our differences beautiful. At that moment I realized there is no single standard of beauty. I have since thought about how our Heavenly Father sees us. I think we must be beautiful to Him, because we are all his children. And that divine birthright is much more important than any physical beauty. Heavenly Father doesn’t care about the beauty of our hair or skin- but he does care about our hearts. When we strive to experience a “might change in our hearts” then we can be blessed to receive “his image in our countenance. This inner radiance makes us truly beautiful.

babies and farms!

We had a great time at the farm today. Meredith LOVED the corn bin and the slide and Liam had a great time being her buddy. The kids had so much fun. The moms were worn out after, but it was worth it to hear the thank you's from my kiddos afterwards. We started out learning about how bees pollenate the pumpkins. They used a fun dip to illustrate the pollination process. It was very creative and the kids really got it! We then went on a hay ride, followed by a romp in the corn bin. We went down for some pig races, ate lunch, and played some more. We ended our day with a corn maze and some more time in the corn bin. The kids gathered their pumpkins and we headed out. I am exausted!! We had a great time. I did take a bunch more really cute photos, but my "stinking" camera stopped working! AARRRGGGHHH!!!

We also had our first baby appointment today. Everything is good. I asked for a due date week instead of a date. So end of March it is!! I am 18 weeks, but measured 20. the heart rate was 140, so we are right on the line! We have an ultrasound in two weeks. We'll know a little more then. So far though everything is great! So that's the update in our area! love you all!! jess

Austin Party

We had such a great time at Austins 1st Birthday party. Thank you Joanna and Quinn for having us. The games were so fun and unique and the little party favors were so cute and crafty. Way to go Jo! Marley is still talking about it today. "That was fun getting my candy and Austins party."

The moments of Austin clapping and cheering for his yummy cake are treasurable. I'm so glad Naomi caught that on tape. He is such a cutie pie! ......and who wouldn't clap for the cake? I wanted to get my hands on it too. Ha!!!

Happy Birthday Austin!

Wow little man! It is amazing to see how much you have grown in a year! We are so glad you are in our family. We love you and want you to have the happiest birthday ever!

October fun!

Isa dressed herself and looked so cute, I had to share. She was feeling orange and it definately showed! Sometimes, her outfits are so crazy!


Emery and Liam are such good buddies. And Em looked so cute. She has abandoned potty training since we left for the lukes. (much to my chagrin) So I let her wear overalls. I guess there are some perks to diapers.

This is our glorious one tree in our backyard that has any color. It is so beautiful in the morning that we had to share!



I am so glad, that summer is finally feeling over. Though the weather is still beautiful, the leaves are starting to change and the air is a little crisp in the morning and at night. Today I drove out into the countryside and bought 2 1/2 bushels of apples. The drive was glorious, the apples crisp and yummy and the view breathtaking. I don't have any photos of that experience, but after a full day of applesauce making, I do have 18 quarts of applesauce and my house smells delicious. I love fall! Next stop, pumpkins!


Amidst all my applesaucing, I lost track of Emery. All was entirely too quiet for her not to be up to something. When I went to see what she was into, I found her asleep in the corner by the books and piano. So CUTE!
