I have just a few quiet minutes before all my kids hit full force and so I thought I would just share a few of my favorite moments on June 1st....
Bzzzz. bzzzz. My eyes flew open. "What time is it?" 4:00 am. I shot out of bed and asked Morgan if it was Jordon. It was. The moment had finally come and Jordon and Kimberly were on their way. I scrambled around gathering oils, the activator, and other assorted necessities. The car pulled in the driveway and our adventure had begun...
May I just interject here, that Kimberly is one of the most beautiful pregnant mamas ever. She had been up since midnight was was full of smiles and anticipation. The drive was perfect, we laughed and chattered eagerly. There were moments toward the end, where we were quiet and allowed Kimberly time to rest and prepare for the hours ahead.
Let's fast forward a bit. We checked in and Christy arrived with camera in hand. Again I will brag a bit on both Kimberly and Jordon. They were picture perfect. They walked the halls, and labored with him supporting her 100%. Kimberly was amazing. I admire her so much. She is calm and in focused. She is quick to let her emotions flow and laugh or cry in the moment. I love that. I love that she let us know her needs and allowed us to be there and support her.
At one point in time, Kimberly and Jordon were in the tub and Christy , the midwife and I all felt the beauty, the peace, the sacredness of that moment. I felt so privileged to be in the room and experience that and to do so with such incredible people.
I wish you could all experience the moment when a woman sees her baby for the first time. It's pure raw emotion and it is awesome!
Baby Annette was perfect! She opened her eyes and looked up at her mama almost immediately. She was wide awake and so peaceful. She made her entrance at 9:06 and weighed in at 7lbs 6 oz. She was 20 1/2 inches long and is so pink and pretty. She has the most beautiful lips and bright eyes.
Thanks to Christy's fantastic talents, we have this beautiful photo to share...
I am so incredibly grateful to have been a part of this experience. I'm grateful to have shared it with three of the people I love most in the world. I'm grateful for families and I love this family with all my heart. Thank you Kimberly and Jordon for trusting us to be there for you and letting us show our love and support. Kimberly you are a superwoman in our eyes and we love you. Jordon you were awesome as well. Christy, I'm so glad you were there. Your hands and talents were just what we needed. Welcome to the family baby Annette. We love you!
