Birthday party!

Thank you to all who came and made Jackson feel so special today. We had a blast celebrating Jackson's birthday with you and are grateful for everything you do. Jackson is big time into trains right now so we had a train birthday. Or better yet, a Thomas the Train birthday party. I made a train cake (it kinda resembled a train), train cookies and a fruit salad for those who wanted to be a bit healthier. It is hard to keep the interest of 8 kids (10 including babies) so we played one game where the older cousins picked a name of a younger one and then colored and decorated a train box. After they were done, we put them together and they all looked so cute in their trains. Thanks again for helping Jackson to feel special with all your love. We love you!

Happy Birthday Jackson!

Every once in a while I read a blog that has a segment called 'Not Me Monday'. In honor of the wit that is found there, I would like to post a 'not I Wednesday'. My name is Christy. I have a son named Jackson. Jackson turned 2 years old today. I most certainly didn't allow him to get up at 6am just because some where deep down inside of him he knew he was a year older and wanted to live every second to the fullest. I did not cook pancakes, sausage, eggs and Pillsbury cinnamon rolls (with lots of creamy glaze) for dinner with the sole hope that Jackson would be totally excited about it. I did not overlook the sharing rule when Mr. J was playing with is presents this afternoon. And for the past hour and a half I have of course been strictly enforcing the 7:45pm bed time that was tonight. And I definitely don't have this smiley faced, curly haired, happy 2 year old sitting by me while I ponder this post and watch scenes from Twilight at 9:12pm. Nope. Not me.

I love my sweet little, 2 year old in all his glory, sir. Happy Birthday Jackson. Tomorrow I will be a better mom, but since today is your birthday, you can cry if you want too (or stay up way too late). You have found your place in my heart. I love you.

Day 2

We need to get photos with all the families!

Who said they could grow so fast. Grant is so grown up and such a handsome little man. I'm so glad these cute cousins get to be around one another and know each other so well. It is such a blessing!

OK so everyone is asking, where is Emery? She's here, she's just 2 and really busy. I'm here too, just not so cute!

Colin is here!

Colin is here! He weighed in at 7 lbs 10 oz and 20 inches long! He was a trooper. I woke up refreshed at around 7:30 made breakfast for the kids and got into the tub to make sure this was not another false alarm. Relief! Obviously it was the real deal! we called the midwives at 8 and they were there at 9. Mandy came to help with the kids and Nate took them to the lake for some outside fun, while Mandy worked on me. He came out with a splash a few pushes after we broke my water at about 11:47. All in all it was amazing. Morgan was able to catch with the midwives close at hand. He has lots of hair and is absolutely so peaceful! He does not like changing his diaper, but loves to nurse and snuggle and is surprisingly peaceful with the kids all over him. I guess there's a reason he was saved to be number 4! Heavenly Father knew that he would need an extra amount of patience. We are so thankful to have him here. I'll post more photos soon!

Cousins

I have had SO SO much fun with my nieces and nephews this past week and Marley has been in heaven. She prays for her cousins at night and each day she wakes up asking for a play date. I am happy she has such FUN cousins to love and adore.
*We were able to get a Zoo trip in with Kimberly, Meredith and baby Grant. I got to carry baby Grant in the snuggley. It'd been a long time since I'd carried a baby that way and it brought back soooo many memories. I enjoy having little ones that close to me. Along the way we ran into Timber and her two kiddos. Marley quickly made friends with Genesee and ran around the jungle gym with her. Marley and Meredith got to ride in the stroller together for a little bit and LOVED it! Marley kept kissing Meredith. Her love for her cousins is so precious.

This one is of Meredith at Sunday dinner. She woke up from her nap and we were all oooohing and auuuuhing over her adorable outfit.

*Next we got to spend the day with Liam, Isabelle and Emery. We did; a little food shopping, had pizza for lunch, made dessert, played dress up, and colored. It was so nice to have them with us. Oh yes! I almost forgot....we found a new favorite song called Love Today. The kiddos seriously jammed out. I only wish I would have recorded it, but there will be a next time. Liam and Isa got to sleep over. Marleys only been asking for over a month now and she finally got her wish!

*We all enjoyed ourselves at Nics house last night for some delicious dinner and each others company. Marley kept asking where Cole, Christy and Jackson was. We miss you!!!!! Hope you are having a wonderful time with that side of the family and can't wait to see you again. This pic. was of a previous gathering at Jo and Quinns. Jackson fell in love with my hot pink shoes and was oh so sad when I left with them. Cracked me up! Sweet little man.

All the Aunties hoovering over baby Grant for some smiles. Every time Mom would say handsome he would show that precious little smile. We are in love with you Grant!

And today we get to have Austin over for some fun. He LOVES to play with Marleys kitchen set and lego's. We LOVE his gorgeous blue eyes, cute little toddler walk, and sweet snuggles. My favorite is talking on the phone with him. He's going to start sparkin out words in no time and I can't wait!

We LOVE you cousins and enjoy our time with you. Just wanted to tell you how much you mean to us.

P.S. With Kimberly having baby Grant not long ago and Jessie bringing in a baby boy any day Marley has decided to ask me what kind of baby I'm going to have. Ha, Ha, Ha. I thought it was precious.

Wear Red She Said!

Thursday night was SO much fun and I wanted to share the cute photos with you. I REALLY hope we make this a tradition each month or so because I enjoy girls night out and can't wait to make those adorable purses Naomi. ;) ;)

My cousin JoDee has the GREATEST blog where I got most of my ideas from; Virgin Drink mixes, Cute Invitations and the game we played. She is an aerobic instructor and for the month of March is sharing her *Health* tips with us so go check it out.

P.S. Doesn't this weather ROCK! I have been waiting to play outside for months. Happy SUNDAY!
